Life doesn't stop just because you're getting older.
We believe that life doesn't have to stop just because you are getting older and we focus on keeping residents as independent as possible. We arrange trips out for lunch through-out the year for those that wish to go and each year a summer BBQ and Christmas party are always great fun too!
If residents wish to go out, or attend a medical appointment with the support of a carer this can be arranged at a small extra cost.
We have an activities co-ordinator who ensures something is arranged each week day, such as group quizzes or games, Bingo or one to one activities which can be anything from a game of chess, a crossword or a walk out in the garden.
Each resident has a care plan tailored to their individual needs and wishes.
The Hockley and Hawkwell day centre have a bus and staff who are happy to pick up residents from Ashingdon Hall on pre-arranged days. Should residents wish to attend, information of their activities and prices can be obtained from us or the day centre themselves.
Our guests are free to enjoy the various facilities or just sit back, and relax over a coffee with friends or take a stroll in the beautiful well maintained gardens with delightful views over the surrounding countryside and the Crouch Valley.
There is one well furnished lounge with lovely views of the garden and a large communal dining room which provides a regular social opportunity for the residents.
We entertain on special occasions, such as birthdays and encourage visits from relatives, friends and former neighbours and we also have a private dining room should our clients wish to entertain on a private basis.
Our experienced friendly staff are always available to offer personal and professional support and advice at any level.

Just some of the stories from Ashingdon Hall Care
Just to say how much we all enjoyed Saturdays gardens party, especially the entertainer, it was lovely to see residents recognizing and singing along to all the old songs.
All the staff have been very supportive of mum during her time at Ashingdon Hall and we don’t believe anyone else could have done more for her.
It was very clear how happy dad was to be at Ashingdon Hall and the transition of leaving his home and being in a residential home was seamless thanks to the compassion and professionalism of all the staff and the friendliness of the residents.
